About

The Ballarat Rail Promotion Group (BRPG) is a volunteer, incorporated association working to ensure the preservation of the unique heritage of the Ballarat railway precinct.

Achievements

Two major projects undertaken by the BRPG have been the restoration of Ballarat "A" Signal Box and Ballarat East Signal Box.

Activities

Ballarat "A" Box - Open To The Public

To enable visitors to gain an appreciation of the Ballarat railway heritage, Ballarat "A" Signal Box is open to the public on the first Sunday of each month. The hours are from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Entry to the site is via Davies Street. Admission: By Donation.

Heritage Tours Of The Ballarat Station Complex

During Local Festivals, conducted tours give visitors the opportunity to see and learn about the magnificent station complex.

Rail Tours

Rail Tours on the Victorian rail network are held at regular interval. The tours are organised by the Soldier's Hill Railway Society (Inc) a kindred organisation based in Ballarat. See Forthcoming Tours.
