Great-crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus) can be
seen at the Lake from mid-August to mid-April. They make floating nests in
the reedbeds. We are fortunate to be able to see in closeup such an
attractive bird with its chestnut frill and black headtufts.
A pair of Black Swans (Cygnus atratus) courting and
a swan nesting in the reeds.
Swans taking flight and the reedbeds - a sanctuary for
birdlife.
