Aquatic Plants

Ballarat's Nature Notes writer, Roger Thomas, has listed more than 40 native species of plants around the shore and in the water of Lake Wendouree. The majority of aquatic plants are indigenous. These include common reed, ribbonweed, elodea, sedges and 'lakeweed' which is water-milfoil. The reedbeds are tall spike-rush.
