Water Supply Investigation
During the most recent 4-year drought (1998-2001) the Lake Wendouree and Gardens Special Committee began investigating options for the supplementary water supply for the Lake. Historically the level has been maintained for aquatic sports via the pipeline from the Gong Reservoir. Possibilities for the best long term sustainable supply include groundwater, recycled grey water and extending the catchment.
