Kankama Farmstay Cottage is fully self contained and situated in a quiet rural setting on a thirty acre property. Just an hour and a half from Melbourne, twenty minutes from Ballarat and eight minutes from historic Buninyong.  

 

'Kankama’ Farmstay accommodation is set up for 2 adults and three children. The cottage has 2 bedrooms – a master bedroom with a queen size double bed and the 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds.

Features -

  • Your cottage is beautifully appointed with a coonara style wood heater and portable gas heater.
  • Additional folding bed and/or porta cot if required
  • Ceiling fans.
  • Gas BBQ in private covered patio with outdoor furniture.
  • The area abounds with bird and wildlife
  • Easy bush walks on tracks around the area. Look for koalas, kangaroos and a wide variety of birds.
  • Children can help feed the alpacas and enjoy other farm animals.
  • An excellent playground and BBQ facilities are only minutes away at the Garribaldi Hall
  • ‘Fido’ the family dog (as long as he is reasonably sociable) is welcome too. He will be accommodated in his own ‘cottage’ with fully fenced play area. Strictly no pets allowed in the cottage.

Activities on the farm –

  • Sheep shearing – July, weather permitting
  • Lambing season – August/September
  • Alpaca shearing – November/December
  • Pregnant alpacas – Crias (baby alpacas) due August – October
  • Cows calving - October

Tariff (inc GST)

For a one night stay only:       Couple   $150.00 per night
                                                Family   $180.00 per night

For two nights stay or more:    $120.00 per night for two adults and two children under the age of 11

                                                Additional children under 11 - $10.00 per night 
                                                or $20.00 per night for each extra child over the age 11 or per adult.
 
Every sixth night is complimentary
 
A breakfast basket is available by request on the 1st night stay, also on last day if stay is 5 days or more. 
50% deposit on confirmation of booking.

Please Note: Deposit to be sent within five days or booking will be cancelled.

Balance payable on check in.
Tariff includes all linen (towels and bedding)

How to find us:

Enter Buninyong via any of the routes shown, follow the Mt. Mercer/Durham Lead road for 6.5 kms, turn right into South Durham Bridge Road (bus shelter on right hand side, opposite Pioneer Lane) Follow over bridge to 'T' intersection with Hoveys Rd, turn left & follow to first turn on left, Lockyer Road, follow around (keeping pine plantation on your right.
KANKAMA is approx 100m around last corner on your left.
