Formerly "The Telegraph Hotel" (circa 1863), Keebles of Clunes
has been operating as a Guest House since 1989.
Nestled on the edge of the township the
building has been renovated to provide three spacious lounges, including a billiard room
and extensive library, and separate dining and breakfast rooms. Furnished with antiques
and original works of art, Keebles has all of the modern comforts while still retaining
its old world charm. |
All guests rooms are delightfully decorated in
fashionable country style and have their own ensuite facilities. The rooms have heating as
well as electric blankets.

The 'Windsor Room', with its open fire and interesting collection of
memorabilia, provides a wonderful ambience for elegant dining. On Saturday evenings guests
can enjoy a sumptuous four course meal prepared by our own in-house chef. On other
evenings a three course meal is served by arrangement.

Coloma Cottages
In
addition to the six bedrooms in the main Guesthouse, there are also the
Coloma Cottages. The name `Coloma' recognises the sister city relationship
that Clunes, Victoria's First Gold
Town, has established with Coloma in
California. It was at Coloma where gold was first discovered in California
in 1848.
Located within the three acres of gardens, Coloma Cottages comprise two
self-contained cottages - one with two bedrooms (accommodating up to 5
people) and the other with one bedroom. Each of the rooms have their own
ensuite (the one bedroom cottage has a spa bath) as well as lounge area and
kitchenette. Both cottages have TVs and CD players. Guests may prepare their
own evening meals or have dinner in the Dining Room of the main Guesthouse.
Guests staying in the Coloma Cottages are provided with a fully cooked
breakfast served in the guesthouse Breakfast Room. |
