Our two catteries, designed exclusively for
cats, are set on a tranquil 10 acre property conveniently
located close to the Midland Hwy and Geelong Road.
CATTERY ONE
We believe that you have the right to see
exactly how your cats settle in and so our office area is in
the open ‘living room’ in the centre of the cattery which is
also where each cat has its individual `time out’ and cuddles.
You are very welcome to bring familiar things from home for
your cat.
Each spacious
pen has an elevated sleeping box just below the window and
window ledge, a scratching ramp leading up to the sleeping box
and access to its own individual outside area. Solid panels at
the lower third dividing wall between each pen give your cat a
feeling of privacy and security when they eat and use their
litter tray.
PEN SIZES EXCEED
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The cattery has
been designed for flexibility: as well as single pens, there
are double pens with a large shared sleeping box for two cats
from one family and several of the single pens can be linked
so that two, three or more cats from one family can share
their space but still have their individual sleeping boxes
FEES FOR CATTERY ONE
$10 per day per cat for the first two weeks;
thereafter $9 per day – excluding school holiday times when
the full rate applies.
CATTERY TWO
We
have become aware that there are unmet needs for some cat
owners needing to board their cats: some would like their
families of cats to have a more spacious, open shared area –
e.g. 5 or 6 cats to be together; some have very active cats
which like to climb and play; some cats need to stay with us
for many months and their owners want them to have a more
homely space.
The single/double pens are even more spacious and the
outside area has different levels and elevated `look outs’ for
your cat to climb to. As with Cattery One – some of the single
pens can be linked.
The four corner pens are huge and can easily accommodate
from one to several cats. The outside area for the corner pens
provides plenty of room to jump and run and play as well as
climb.
REST OF LIFE ACCOMMODATION
Sometimes there is the circumstance of needing a homelike
and caring `rest of life’ option for a pet whose owner has
moved into residential care or has died. Often there is no family member
or friend willing and able to help and the idea of a loved cat
being `put to sleep’ if unable to be rehomed is unthinkable
and very stressful.
Our new second cattery has been designed to meet all these
needs.
FEES FOR CATTERY TWO
This varies depending on which pens are chosen and the
number of cats. It is best to ring us and discuss the options
and combinations but as a guide – a single/double pen is $13
per day per cat. The huge corner pens have a base price of $39
per day for the pen, whether accommodating 1, 2 or 3 cats.
Each additional cat is $13 per day.
For Rest of Life care the fee will be negotiated depending
on the number of cats, their ages, current state of health and
their owner’s wishes regarding their future long-term care.
