Red Hand Studio gallery is part of a spectacular rural property on the edge of Mt Cole State Forest. Five kilometres from Elmhurst village the studio is the workspace of painters Bill and Lesley Hunter. Located at Gill's Boatshed near View Point (on the South Eastern edge of the Lake), the museum contains exhibits, artefacts, photographs and soundscapes evoking the period from the 1860's to the present. Open by appointment only. The original 120 year old Golden City Paddle Steamer which was built and housed in the boatshed was sadly destroyed by fire in March 2006 and an appeal is now underway to build a replacement.
