One of the biggest challenges it seems for most people is to make the break, commit to as little as a day out of town and jump in the car and do it. But once you do it, we often wonder why we have not done it before now.

A Yoga Day includes: arriving in time for morning tea at 11am, yoga nidra – deep relaxation, organic vegetarian lunch, a walk in the surrounding forests and yoga class at 3.30pm including enough time for a chat about what is on offer at the centre.

In addition and coinciding with the full moon a Havan – fire ceremony (an esoteric aspect of yoga), Mahamrityunjaya Healing Mantra Chanting, Dinner and Satsang with an invited Guest Speaker completes the total experience of a Yoga Day.

5.30pm Meditation

Monday to Thursday throughout the year
Antar Mouna – inner silence is a ˝ hour meditation practised at the end of the day to free unnecessary thoughts which naturally accumulate in daily life.
You are welcome to stay for dinner and the evening program of chanting.
Bookings are necessary. Fee $15

Yoga and Sustainable Living

“As I make preparation to spend some time at the Rocklyn Ashram, situated in the Wombat State Forest, already I sense the relaxation and spiritual nourishment that it will provide. The resistance of driving through the traffic to get out of the city now behind me, I allow myself to become fully present in this beautiful natural setting of fresh air, forest trees and birdsong.
In our fast paced city life there are few places where our soul essence is fully supported. Sure, we can attend a yoga class, which has that role, but many of us are forced to put our ‘city hat’ back on with our shoes as we leave. Spending time at Rocklyn allows us to drop all that is irrelevant and reconnect with our true selves.
Anyone who chooses to rest awhile in the nurturing arms of the Ashram will surely feel this encouragement and support for their continued journey.” – Kimberly
