Day Visit - Yoga Nidra – Deep Relaxation

11am daily

Visiting Rocklyn Ashram is easy - it’s the leaving that’s difficult! When you experience a mid-day yoga nidra - deep relaxation, enjoy a tasty vegetarian lunch and beautiful bush walk around the centre, it’s easy to see why some of us park the car for a long, long time!

Your first visit can be as simple as a day visit to enjoy any number of short programs. These may include evening meditation, kirtan chanting, an early morning yoga class, or some of the other programs such as the Friday afternoon Devi havan – fire ceremony for transformation – or the Saturday night healing mantra chanting.

Don’t forget the popular and fun Family Days or the Yoga Days with stretch classes and other special activities. These always coincide with a full moon havan on the closest Saturday before, or on, the full moon.

A Yoga Lifestyle retreat is for 5  to 7 days. These more personal retreats are a great way to focus on the practical application of yoga with some philosophy and a quiet time for cultivating inner understanding and contentment.
You are welcome to visit and nurture yourself in the deep relaxation practice of Yoga Nidra followed by a vegetarian lunch (please let us know if you wish to attend)

Overview of the Centre

The Centre specialises in yoga retreats and in providing the opportunity to practice a healthy yoga based lifestyle in a peaceful and natural forest environment.

The road to the centre is flanked by forest and the area of Rocklyn, near Daylesford, is enveloped in gentle silence. One very quickly realises they are far from the usual clutter of the city environment. Noise, pollution and rush are just not a part of the lifestyle at Rocklyn.

During a residential stay which can be for a Relax & Recharge Weekend Retreat, One Day or One Week of Yogic Lifestyle the daily program is structured to help you enjoy and restore freshness, relaxation and a sense of wholeness. The day begins at sunrise with a morning class of postures and breathing techniques, meditation and mantra chanting. During the day there is personal time for reflection, walking and reading from the Yoga/Health Library.

Food is vegetarian and from the organic garden.

Satyananda Yoga Classes are conducted: at the Centre, Ballarat & Daylesford

From Melbourne take Western Freeway, take Ballan/Daylesford exit, travel towards Daylesford on Ballan/Daylesford road for 22 kms - turn left at the Yoga/Ashram sign, follow signs a further 7 kms.
